Individual Biography

Hyun-Ae Lee
she was born in 1980 in Seoul, Korea. She received her first violin lessons at the age of 10. She studied with Joseph Kim and Kyoung-Sun Lee at the Seoul Art High School and Min Kim at the Seoul National University, where she graduated in 2003.
She has succeeded in many competitions in Korea, such as the Korean Violin Competition (1997, grand prize), the Nan-pa Music Competition (2000, grand prize), the Baroque String Competition (2001, second prize), Korea-America Music Competition (2001, grand prize), Seoul National Symphony Orchestra Competition (2001, first prize).
Hyun-Ae made her debut recital in 2002 with Kumho Young Artist concert series. She has also been invited to many festivals, such as Aspen Music Festival in USA, I-Sang Yun International Festival, The Great Mountain Music Festival in Korea and she was selected for the LSO String Experience Scheme in 2004. She has performed regularly in major venues in Korea and London such as Kumho art hall, Youngsan art hall, Barbican hall, Wigmore hall, st.John't smith square, LSO st.Luck Church as a soloist and is a member of the Da Capo String Quartet. She is currently studying with David Takeno at the the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, on the MMP-Guildhall Artist Course, where she has obtained a PGDip and Master’s Degree. she is supported by the Hyman, Bowles and Cundell Awards.

Ivana Cetkovic
she was born in 1981 in Belgrade and attended the Music School for Talented Children in Cupria (Serbia & Montenegro) where she won numerous prizes. She finished her Bachelor Degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Serbia. During her studies she won a scholarship for a Chamber Music Summer School in Sweden. Currently Ivana is studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, on the MMP-Guildhall Artist course, with David Takeno and Arisa Fujita, where she previously received her PGDip and Master’s Degree. She is a member of the Da Capo String Quartet.
Ivana has performed in all the main halls in Belgrade as soloist and as solo violin with the St George Strings Chamber Orchestra. She has been a member of the orchestra since 1998 and a Principal Second Violin since 2000. Since 2004 Ivana has also been studying baroque violin with Rachel Podger. She is one of the founding members of Belgrade Baroque Ensemble with whom she went on a concert tour to Sweden and Montenegro in summer 2006. Ivana also took part in the Paxos International Music Festival in August 2005 and 2006, as one of the representatives from Guildhall School.

Natasa Stanojevic
she was born in Serbia, and completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies with Professor Petar Ivanovic at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. From 2000-04 she also worked as an assistant to Prof. Petar Ivanovic. As principal violist of the St. George Strings in Belgrade she has appeared as concerto soloist and chamber musician. In 2004 she became a founding Member of the Belgrade Baroque Ensemble, with whom she has toured Sweden.
Natasa moved to London in 2004 where she has been studying the viola with David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has received her PGDip and Master’s Degree and is now studying on the MMP-Guidhall Artist course. She is a member of the Da Capo String Quartet.
Natasa has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at Southwark Cathedral, Wigmore Hall, St.Lukes Church in London and in Halifax and Oxford. She has also participated in several international festivals and master classes with David Takeno, Ferenc Rados, Paul Biss, Asa Kalberg, Mark Caudle and Peter Lennerberg.

Carina Albuquerque
she was born in Portugal in 1981. She attended the Professional Artistic School of Vale do Ave (Artave) and the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Holland). In 2001 she entered the Guildhall School to study with Stefan Popov obtaining the BMus in 2004 and Masters Degree in Music in 2005. She is currently studying on the MMP-Guildhall Artist course as a member of the Da Capo Quartet. She was also a founder member of the Vianna da Motta Trio with whom she recorded a CD for the Centro Atlantico label.
Carina has been awarded first prize in the North London Music Festival, second prize in RDP Competition (Portugal), Guildhall School and Wolfson Foundation Awards, second prizes in the International Competition Julio Cardona and in the Parnaso Competition (Portugal) and Gulbenkian Foundation Scholarship.
Carina performs regularly in solo and chamber music recitals in Portugal, England, Italy and Holland, in venues such as St.-Martin-in-the-Fields, St. John Smith Square, Wigmore Hall, St. James Piccadilly (London), Bank of Portugal Hall (Lisbon), Vredenburg Muzik Centrum (Utrecht - Holland) and Castel San Telmo (Naples).
